Can I sail the Smart Cat S280 before I decide?
Yes. We are planning sea trials in Miami in April 2027. Send us a note below and we will share the dates with you first.
Can two of us handle her?
Yes. The helm, the dinette and the lounge are all on one open deck, so whoever is steering is never cut off from everyone else. Watch the sea trial video above to see how she handles.
Where can she take us?
With a 2.9 ft draft, the Smart Cat S280 can cross sand flats and anchor in shallow coves that deeper boats have to skip. The Smart Cat S280 Makani sailed from Miami through the Bahamas to Turks and Caicos; the trip is in the videos above.
How is a Smart Cat S280 delivered?
Each boat is built at the Smart Catamarans factory in Korea and ships in two standard 40 ft containers. Our team then assembles, commissions and launches her.
Where would we keep her?
She fits a standard travel lift and an ordinary slip, so most marinas can take her.
